Award of 18th TT Spisska Borovicka C 4.8.2006

This is the award by Peter Gvozdják of TT that was announced on CCM too.

Finally, the Spišská borovička tourney became adult this year.
Which is why did I choose the „adult“ theme, too.
That was quite unusual combination of White correction with the Cyclone theme.
I received only 5 entries, but the quality was pretty high.
One of the problems could not be computer tested which caused me a headache.
Next year I probably will allow the C+ problems only.
Here´s my award.

Honourable Mentions ex aequo:

(02) (Quah)
Ukraininan cycle with White tertiary correction. The same refutation for both tries, with different reasons, however.

(03) (Aschwanden)
4-fold Shedey cycle after White Pawn correction. Very good problem, in which the correction seems not to be the main theme.

(05A) (Klemanic) - "after congress" version
3-fold Shedey cycle with two flights giving both try and key.

2nd Prize: (01A) (Dyachuk)
Lačný cycle plus complete non-cyclic phase with changed mates.

21st Prize: (04) (Aschwanden, Loustau)
An extraordinary idea in a great setting. Combination of White tertiary correction with Black secondary correction!
