Differentiation by means of lack of space near edge of board. I like the way of ruling out the wrong promotion.

Set play makes key a bit better, but only a bit. In solution there is extraordinary play of white queen, first on pin line, then, after indirect antibattery unpinning, in the space. 4 corrections by black bishop, rich use of grasshopper effects.

Personal rating: B.

1.LEe2!? (paralyzing both PAe1 and PAe8), 1...PAxh6(LEh8)!! 2.LEh7-g7#
Next tries and solution contain both positive motives - paralysing e1 and destroying black defence by reflex mate 1...PAxh6, so they are all white tertiary attacks:

1.LEe4!!? LEb4!!! 2.VAa5#

It was long fight with initial scheme by MR and CCF, it took about 2 years for me, but both co-authors were working on it long before.

Judge Ronald Turnbull is known for his appreciation of light positions and I well understand he didn't like technical moariders. But position is full of effects and it was extremely difficult to tame all cooks...
