Found after 16 years!

(Text on this page was written by Peter Gvozdják.)

The case of the "lost son". When I wrote in CYCLONE about the possibly first 4-fold Shedey cycle (see p. 19) I did not expect it would be found ever. That problem took part in the Sala-Zvolen match (1988) but being unthematic was never published.

After 16 years, at the meeting of Slovak composers at Smizany, the organizer of the then tourney Marian Krizovensky showed it to audience! (Nor the author, who was present, did remember it...)

Then, at the very meeting, Emil Klemanic helped to improve the construction.

And another surprise followed... When seeing it, Jozef Havran, who was there, too, said, he managed the same theme for the same toruney (not published, too!). Who would expect there were two of the "lost sons"?
